The public is completely taken over by his style which seems to give a new dimension to Makossa. the dance moves are revolutionnary, the lyrics flirt with the unacceptable, and the crowd simply cannot have enough of this new addition to the musical scene. Born from a Fulani father and Douala mother, his dual cultural background will push his creativity into new boundaries. the style is Makossa Love and « turbo » proclaims himself « defending counsel of the female population », translated from the french « Avocat defenseur des femmes ». Despite finding some of his inspiration from congolese and carribean music, it is fair to say that his albums have always been cameroonian both in their presentation, the guitar sounds , and the melodious way in which the lyrics are sung. Although often criticized for the sexual connotation of some of his texts, his contribution to music in his country is undeniable. he is by far the most prolific singer /song writer in Cameroon with over 20 albums released either in his name or in that of his supporting band, « Les sans visas ». Through this musical group, « turbo » has formed a multitude of young singers and propelled them onto the scene. Amongst the more popular are Samy Diko, Njohreur, Guy Manu, Pakito etc… With many more years ahead of him, the challenge is to keep innovating and producing sounds that distinguish themselves not just by their uniqueness but also by the way in which they help re-write the history of music in Cameroon. ..

Il chante en français et en douala sur le zouk et le makossa, et a reçu l’Épi d’or lors du Festival national des arts et de la culture (Fenac) en 2000 à Limbé.
